Cover  Overall I re-worked alot of things from my original plan and added more variety in text and text color. The cover photo is of a low angle wideshot of a figure in a black hoodie and black rollerskates. An all-black outfit adds a bit of mystery and allows the background colors to pop as well as making the main focus the dark figure in front. The rollerskates are showing off one of the topics that will be covered in the magazine and the blue wheels of the skates are a nice touch. The pose is like a restless or wondering look into the unknown and what lies ahead. I made the choice of putting a boarder on my cover to add interest to it. The title 'SOAR' I used bold Elephant font in black to make it stand out, I also made the choice to space out the lettering to make it fill the cover and not be so crammed together. I chose SOAR due to thinking of flying or reaching far away goals and just going out there and just reaching for what you want. The quote-like text under it &qu

Planning Activities- Photo Shoots

For my photo shoots I used the locations that I scouted but I do plan to possibly take more photos in the future. I took some photos in a neighborhood near by that offered good clear pictures and were in a location where there would be no other people or distractions. I had to scheduled the shoot so that we made it before the sun went down and getting in touch with everyone was a bit tough but I think it worked out. Some of the action shots that I got were blurry so I went through many photos till I got something good, but in all I may get more action photos but the ones I got were okay. With the photo shoot the biggest complication was meeting u

Planning Activities- Photo Shoot Locations

Some locations I scouted were a street in my neighborhood that had nice scenery and Benderson, which is a park near by. I liked the neighborhood due to it being easy to get to and an area i'm familiar with. It has beautiful trees and lots of open roads that I can use to show examples of skating or other activities. I also like that the sky is so vibrant and offers interest in photos. I enjoy the palm tree a lot and am possibly planning to take a photo of someone in front of it as my cover but i'm not entirely sure yet. Also, the brick pattern on the ground and plants around it make a very pretty layout and it could be used for photos. Its a overall good location and I may end up taking a few of my final photos here. Benderson is where I planned to take photos in the beginning, due to it being a park for sports and biking and such. I've been there many times and its my favorite place to skate, and many others skate there too. Its a very nice location that has a lot to offer
